How Can I Support Your Business Growth?
My path to real estate began with a desire to explore additional income streams. Throughout my life, I’ve always sought opportunities to learn and grow—whether it was pursuing new educational qualifications or taking on different jobs. After earning my second master’s degree and becoming a speech-language pathologist, I realized wasn’t interested in following the traditional career trajectory that many in my field pursue. I didn’t want to go back to school for a Ph.D. or climb the corporate ladder.
It was around this time that I discovered real estate. I joined a mentorship program where I was introduced to Airbnb arbitrage, and soon, Facebook led me to an inexpensive week-long course on real estate investing. The course covered several areas, including wholesaling, fix-and-flip, buy-and-hold strategies, and ways to secure funding for deals. It was at that moment I saw the immense opportunities in real estate—not only as a way to build wealth but also to achieve time, location, and financial freedom.
As I dove deeper into this world, I quickly realized that success wasn’t going to come without challenges. One of the biggest struggles I faced was staying focused on one strategy. With so many ways to make money in real estate, it was easy to get distracted. I also encountered significant setbacks on my first fix-and-flip project, including permit issues and poor communication with the contractor. These obstacles tested my patience and determination.
However, these experiences were pivotal. I learned the importance of focus and time management, especially through practices like time-blocking. I became more resilient and stronger through these challenges. I embraced the idea that small progress is still progress and learned to celebrate even the smallest victories along the way. These lessons have shaped me into the person I am today—a more focused and determined individual than I was when I first started my real estate journey.
Today, I focus on raising capital and connecting lenders with lucrative real estate deals. My goal is to help people get funding for their real estate ventures while providing a solid return for the lenders. This role is not only rewarding but also aligns with my passion for helping others. I use my personal experiences to guide and mentor others who are new to real estate, sharing my lessons to help them avoid common pitfalls and fast-track their own success.
Looking to the future, my vision is to raise funds to support my own real estate projects, particularly in the multi-family space. I believe that with the right mindset, gratitude, and consistent action—no matter how small—anything is possible. The sky truly is the limit, and I’m committed to making things happen.
Invest in yourself first. Find a mentor who has successfully navigated the path you want to pursue. Stick to the steps and avoid getting distracted by shiny object syndrome. Consistency is key!
Losing money on my first two deals taught me an invaluable lesson: I was focused only on what could go right and neglected to consider what could go wrong. It's crucial to weigh both sides of a deal before diving in.
The best part is the win-win-win dynamic: The borrower gets their deal funded, the lender receives a solid return on investment, and I’m able to play a pivotal role in making that connection. It’s truly fulfilling.
I stay grounded by focusing on gratitude—recognizing how far I’ve come and all the growth I’ve experienced. Reflecting on that progress fuels my determination to keep pushing forward.
I would tell myself to take more risks and attend networking events outside of my usual circles. Meeting people with different perspectives could have accelerated my personal and professional growth.
A common misconception is that you need a lot of money to get started in real estate. Through my journey, I’ve discovered there are many creative ways to get involved, even with little to no upfront capital.
Include any testimonials you have. When I speak to people I usually ask them to make a post inside a facebook group with a review about what they took away from the conversation..
